The process begins by selecting a suitable company type—such as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), Public Shareholding Company, or a branch of a foreign company—based on the nature of your business and investment goals.The next step is reserving a unique company name through the Companies Control Department (CCD) under the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply. Once approved, the founders must prepare and submit the Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association along with the identification documents of shareholders and managers.
Following document submission, the CCD reviews the application. Upon approval, a registration certificate is issued. Depending on the business activity, additional sector-specific licenses or permits may be required from relevant authorities.
After incorporation, the company must register with the Jordanian tax authorities to obtain a tax number and, if applicable, register for VAT. Social Security registration is also mandatory for employees.
The process usually takes between 1–2 weeks if all documents are in order. Foreign investors may require additional approvals or need to meet minimum capital requirements, depending on their sector of interest. Legal guidance is strongly recommended to streamline the procedure.
